I love natural stuff. So I love this face scrub recipe! It's super easy, and it works really well.
Ingredients:
2 Aspirin tablets
1 tbs. Honey
First take your aspirin. Make sure it's plain old aspirin, nothing fancy in it.
Put the two pills on a plate, and drip a few drops of water on them. You seriously only need a couple drops. Let it set for a couple seconds and then poke at them. They should kinda fall apart into grainy heaps. If they're still hard, add a little more water and they'll fall apart. But don't use too much or your scrub will be runny!
Add about a tablespoon of honey. Mix together with your fingers and smear on your face! Now let it set for like half an hour. The hard part is not touching your face!
(Be sure your hair is pulled back. Majorly sticky stuff.)
Attractive, no? |
The honey is naturally antibacterial, so it cleans your skin well. The aspirin heals your skin because it is an anti-inflammatory. And the scrubbing cleans and gets rid of dead skin.
Good stuff!
Let me know if you try it!
Sounds easy enough. :) I'll get back to you when I've tried it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Wow, that's an interesting recipe for facial scrub! I should try this sometime.
ReplyDeleteI sent my sister one of your posts a few weeks ago and she responded (after looking through your blog) that you would 'totally have a show on TLC someday' due to your inventive spirit! I'm sure you're more than half my age younger than I and you inspire me often :) Keep 'em coming!

I'd honestly be kinda scared to put asprin on my face (haha!) but thinking about it, it doesn't look so bad. I love trying DIYs! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome!! I'm gonna have to try that! I teach adults with developmental disabilities, and last spring I did a class on Cleanliness. We made some homemade remedies. One was a banana, oatmeal and honey face mask. My favorite homemade (body) scrub was sugar and vegetable oil (with scent if you want, but it's not necessary; you could use olive oil if your prefer). About a half cup of sugar plus enough oil to make it spread easily.
ReplyDeleteI have tried that before, and it left my skin so soft! Lovely face, btw.
ReplyDeleteI will buy some aspirin tomorrow... gotta do this tutorial, thx^^
