Random pictures

I didn't really have much to post about today, so I decided to post some random pictures!

I love this one:

The next ones are macro shots of a chain on a necklace!

And I just had to end with this adorable picture of my sister's dog.
*heart melt*

Snow ...

Since it had to snow, we might as well enjoy the beauty. Right?

Mushroom PJ's

I'm taking a sewing class, and today I finished the very last mandatory project: PJ's!
After this, I can make any project I want! OK, within reason. But whatever.

Aren't my PJ capri's cute? ;)
Yes, I realize my socks don't match. That's how I roll, ya'll!

Right at the end of class I had enough time to start the first project that *I* chose.
A stuffed monster.
Yup. :D
It's making me ridiculously excited. Sometimes I can be so immature. But in a totally cool kind of way.
I hope. ;)

I'll try to post pics of the monster once it's done. Cuz I know you wanna see it. ;)

Next up ... messenger bag?

Where art thou, dearest Spring?

^ art journal entry from yesterday.

I have decided that Minnesotans (self included) think that if they pretend Spring is here, it will automatically arrive.
Today I stood in a line of about a dozen people in front of the Dairy Queen, waiting for my turn at the little magic window from whence ice cream comes. The temp was four degrees Fahrenheit, wind-chill ... minus ten.
Everyone was shivering and forcing themselves to ignore the puffs of breath billowing out of their mouths. People in mittens, hats and coats, getting ice cream in a desperate attempt to show winter who's boss.
The lady in front of me wore a fancy tweed coat, large sparkly ring, and bejeweled sunglasses. Her daughter held a poodle in her arms. Passing the time in the cold, I listened to the lady talking to random people.
"We just got back from Mexico," she said once. And later, "Our puppy just got a haircut," as she turned to give the poodle a nuzzle, "aren't you such a good boy?" she said in pitiful baby talk. Finally it was her turn to order. I was right after her.
"One blizzard; no mocha chunks, extra brownie," the lady declared. "And one small vanilla doggy cup."
*blinkblink*
Doggy cup?
Did I hear correctly!?
"I can help who's next," the young lady behind the counter said. I stepped up.
"Two peanut buster parfaits," I said, the wind whipping away my puff of breath.
As I waited, I watched the lady with the dog. Soon their order came out the magic window. One blizzard [no mocha chunks, extra brownie]. And one. Doggy. Cup.
Seriously.
It was a little bowl of vanilla ice cream with a doggy biscuit on top!! Goodness. Who even knew they made those things?!
I was struggling not to laugh out of pure incredulity. :D
Finally the parfaits came, and I ran back through the cold and jumped into the delightfully warm car waiting for me.

Ahhh, spring. You are here whether you like it or not. The fact that it's four degrees out has nothing to do with it.

Angry Birds

Have you ever played Angry Birds? It's an app and you can play it on iPads and iPhones etc.
My oldest brother has an iPad, and we played Angry Birds on it together during Christmas. His wife thought it was a super funny game (because it is. :), and so when I saw this tutorial, I knew I had to make my sis-in-law an Angry Bird plushie!!
If you've played the game, you'll probably find this extremely amusing, and if not ... who knows. :)

When my sil opened her present she just cracked up!! We started throwing it at eachother and making sound-effects like in the game. It was great. :)

He's just so angry! I love it. Hehe!

Why is it that angry plushies are cute, but angry people just look creepy?? :-P

EPIC drawing game!!

OK ya'll, have you ever played the drawing game? Just in case you haven't, I'll tell you about it.
The first person draws a hat, and then folds it back so all you can see is the veeerrrryyy bottom of the hat.
Then you pass the paper and the next person draws a face and neck, folds it back so you can just see the bottom of the neck. Pass it on, draw a shirt, pass it on, draw pants/skirt, pass it on, draw shoes/feet.
Open the paper and laugh hysterically. It's in the rulebook. ;)

So anyway, one of my friends (find her personal blog here, and her blog of inner beauty here) and I played this game the other night. And uh, well. Yeah.
See for yourself. :D

After a couple, my brother decided to play. I was pretty impressed, cuz he's not really into drawing. Wood working is his thing.

Epic hat much? :)

My bro drew the below hat ... gun included. Typical guy. Which isn't a bad thing. ;)

Okay. I've saved the stupidest best for last! (I suggest you brace yourselves)

Bahahahaha!! Oh, boy. Wheeee! My friend and I laughed so much at this one that we could hardly breathe!
Sheepers. :)
And after playing a few more ridiculous, laughable games, well ... let's just say we were in slight pain. Of the face and abdominal variety.

After which I wheezed, "I think I've sprained my laugher!"
Which, of course, my friend found highly amusing, therefore compelling me to injure my laugher even further.
:)

Uh ...

"Ummm ... Inna? Did you just ... no. I mean, wait. *blink blink* Did you really just do what I think you did?"

"What? Did I just paint a rat and a rat hole onto our stairs?
Oh, yes. Yes I did."
:D

Don't worry. I had permission from me mother. I must say, I love having a mother with a weird sense of humor, like myself. :)

Bahahahaha!

*Ahem*
Sorry. Easily ammused. :)

I don't know why, but I find this hilarious and adorable. *snicker*
