Things that make me smile + 3 Quick DIYs!

Things that make me smile:
1. Smiley toes. :)
Quick DIY: Use a sharpie to draw the faces, or any other fun designs!
2. Noticing that my air plant is getting orange tips in honor of autumn. :)
 3. Getting to wear my monster hoodie during ballet classes, because Halloween costumes were allowed this week. :)
Quick DIY: Cut out circles and triangles out of felt. Glue 'em onto a hoodie with fabric glue as shown.
Ta-da! Easy peasy, lemon sqeezy!
(Note: I didn't make this one up, I saw something like it online, and figured out how to make my own. :)
 4. The other day at ballet I wore a silly hat and my moustache necklace. All the little kids at dance kept asking me to put on the moustache, and then they'd start giggling. :)
Quick DIY:  Make a moustache shape out of clay. Poke two holes at the top before baking. Bake according to directions. Put two metal circles through the holes (Found at craft stores). Cut a piece of string or ribbon to the right length.Tie two clasps onto the ends. Ta-da!
(Oh, and I didn't make this one up either. Saw something like it, and decided to make me own!)

Woolton

I would like you all to meet my new pet, Woolton! He's a Woolly Bear Caterpillar, in case you couldn't tell. :) I'm keeping him in an old, dry aquarium filled with grass and twigs and stuff, outside. He's becoming rather grouchy and sleepy, because it's almost time to start hibernating. He'll hibernate until spring, when he will become a Isabella Tiger Moth!
Yesterday he was very active, but now I think he's too sleepy. He seemed to be protesting when I had to pick him up for pictures. :) He's hardly moved all day. At first I thought he had died, but no. I saw him move a little at least. *Whew!*

I think I'll keep him in the garage this winter. It's cold enough to feel natural to him, but not so cold that he'll freeze solid. Which is a good thing. :)

I love this picture below! Just look at his spikes and his tiny suction cup feet!

P.S. I appologize if any of you are of the sqeamish sort. :)

The first blog post! Dun-dun-DUNNN!!!

Oooh! It's my first blog post! Ohhh. It's so hard to think of a sufficiently magnificent subject for this very important post! Such pressure. Eek!
Actually, when I was trying to think of a good post, I TOTALLY drew a blank.
And so I decided to draw some literal blanks.
First, I drew a blank check!

And here we have a blank slate! (Weird looking chalk not included)

And then I drew a blank cartridge.

And just for fun, I drew a blanket.

And now I can relax. Becuase the pressure of finding a good, if slighly lame, first blog post has been lifted off my shoulders! Ahhhh, the freedom. :)
